In the perception of things, we unconsciously elaborate relationships of similarity by connecting elements on the basis of free associations of thought or sensations. An image is born from an intuition, a vase takes shape from a drawing, from an interpretative glance, from a detail. A small piece of glass becomes the decorative element of the vase, fragments of colored canes that joined together recall an oriental motif, a Chinese fan. The stain of color seems to mark the vase like a trace of calligraphic ink.
